Interment will follow the service at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is in charge of arrangements.

Forrest Dale, the son of Albert and Grace (Brower) Hubers, was born on March 1, 1934, in Doon. His family lived in several communities around northwest Iowa, during which time he attended country schools through the eighth grade. He graduated from the Northwestern Academy in Orange City and received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, before serving in the United Sates Navy. Later in life, he earned his master’s degree in Justice Administration and Crime Management from Bellevue University in Nebraska.

He was united in marriage to Lenora Mae Noteboom on June 26, 1953, in Orange City, where together they made their home and raised their three children. Forrest was a natural salesman, and worked in several different sales positions, primarily dealing with insurance. He also worked as part of Prison Fellowship in Illinois and Colorado. Lenora passed away on November 21, 1999, in Orange City, after more than 45 years of marriage. Forrest was married to Beverly Jean Dinges on March 31, 2001, near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They made their home in South Dakota, first in Brandon, and later in Crooks, where Forrest worked with Trinity Corrections in Sioux Falls. In 2016, as his dementia worsened, Forrest became a resident of The Inn on Westport in Sioux Falls, and more recently, he resided at Bethany Meadows in Brandon, South Dakota.

Mr. Hubers was currently a member of the Willow Creek Lutheran Church near Dell Rapids, South Dakota, and a former member of the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. In earlier years, Forrest was active as part of the Orange City Lions Club and served as part of several administrative boards including the Orange City Hospital, the Orange City Christian School, Unity Christian High School in Orange City, and Dordt College in Sioux Center. Forrest truly enjoyed his work, but he also liked to relax, often on the water in his sailboat, playing golf, or going for a run.
