Death of Mrs. A. R. Jackson
Mrs. A. R. Jackson died Friday at her home a few miles northeast of town of that dread disease cancer. Mrs. Jackson had been a sufferer for some months, having undergone an operation this fall which it was thought might be the means of saving her life, but all that the most skilled physicians could do for her was to no avail. She was laid to rest in Grace Hill cemetery Sunday morning. The services were conducted by Rev. Wallace at the Presbyterian church and a large number of sorrowing friends followed the remains to the grave. The Independent wishes to join with their many friends in extending its sympathy to the bereaved family in their dark hour of grief.
