Hawarden, IA: Robert "Bob" Keehn, 65, of Hawarden, Iowa, died Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center, Iowa. Military rites will held Saturday, June 11, at 10:30AM at the Sioux County Freedom Rock located at 599 13th Street Hawarden, Iowa 51023 (southwest corner of the Hawarden City Park). A Celebration of Life will follow from 11:00AM–1:00PM at the Big Sioux Shelter at Oak Grove State Park located at 4051 Cherry Avenue, Hawarden, Iowa 51023. Porter Funeral Home of Hawarden is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert Darrell Keehn, son of Charles and Barbara Mae (Atkins) Keehn, was born April 25, 1957, at Sacramento, California. Growing up in a military family, Bob spent his youth living in different places around the world. After Bob turned 18 he joined the United States Army where he proudly served from October 22, 1975 – October 23, 1980. Following his discharge from the Army, Bob served for several years as a member of the United States Air Force Reserves. After his time in the military, Bob lived in Tennessee for about 10 years before settling in Hawarden, Iowa.

Bob was united in marriage with Barbara J. Marshall on August 9, 2008 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He worked for Sioux Automation for 10 years and spent the last 20 years working for Pella Corporation, both at Sioux Center, Iowa. Bob had a passion for riding motorcycle and was a 32 year member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed golfing. Bob had an awesome sense of humor that his family and friends will miss.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Keehn; 3 children, Robert “Toad” Keehn, Shannon Pennings, and Ryan DeVries; grandson, Joshua Keehn; and 3 siblings, Karla Von Hagel, Charles (Elyssa) Keehn, and Faith Keehn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Keehn; and sister, Cindy Keehn.
