Karen Bell, 69, of Hawarden and formerly of Battle Creek passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 26 2022, at her home in Hawarden.

Services will be held at the CenterPoint Church in Hawarden. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a small service following.

Karen Joy Bell was born Aug. 26, 1952, at Butler Memorial Clinic in Mountain City, Tenn., the daughter of Roy Riddle and Mary Belle Winters.

Karen dedicated her life to helping children and the elderly while she worked as a CNA. She enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren. She loved spending most of her time with family, fostering grandchildren, while enjoying her hobby of crocheting.

She is survived by her husband Gerald E. Bell of Hawarden; son Christopher Grubb (Madonna) of Hawarden; daughter Peggy Segebart of Parker, S.D.; three grandsons Jacob, Marcus, and Johnathon (Kela); and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Mary Belle Winters; first husband Billy Grubb; sisters, Edna May Jenkins, and Barbara (Bobbie) E. Reece; brother, Vincent R Riddle; and seven siblings in infancy.
