Mr. David Eisenhauer, age 37, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Orange City Area Health System.

A visitation with the family present will be held on Saturday, June 11, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the Alton Presbyterian Church in Alton. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, at 3:00pm, at the church with the Rev. Harlan De Jong officiating. The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is in charge of arrangements.

David Jeremy was born on August 2, 1984, in Wakefield, Nebraska, the son of Bill Jo and Susan Elizabeth (Burmester) Eisenhauer. He grew up in the Wakefield and Coleridge, Nebraska area and graduated from the Coleridge Community High School.

David worked in a number of different communities in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa, including as a dishwasher at the Embers Assisted Living in Coleridge, on the production line of Waldbaums in Wakefield, making pizzas at several Pizza Huts, and most recently, cooking at Mr. P’s in Le Mars, and working at the Pizza Ranch in Orange City.

On March 24, 2018, he was united in marriage to Brenda Jo Hexamer in Alton. They made their home in Orange City, along with their two dogs, Bailey and Molly. David enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, playing basketball, and watching WWE. He was an avid fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (especially Michaelangelo), the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Longhorns.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of Orange City; his mother and her husband, Susan and Francis Kurtzhals, of Coleridge; his siblings, Rose Rickard; Jim Eisenhauer; John Burmester; Michael Kurtzhals; Agnes Kurtzhals; Chris Meier, and his wife, Rebecca; Lori Clark; Kurtis Eisenhauer; Billy Eisenhauer; Maggie Kinzey; James Wilson; and Austin Roland; Brenda’s parents, Terry and Terri Jo Hexamer, of Alton; and Brenda’s siblings, Becky Hexamer; and Steve Hexamer, and his wife, Samantha; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Eisenhauer; his grandparents, Hans and JoAnn Burmester; and his aunt, Sherrill Anderson.

Memorials may be given to the Eisenhauer Family.
