Died Lickel – At Pattersonville, Iowa August 16, 1885 of summer complaint, Myrtle Mildred, youngest daughter of J. T. and Emily Lickel age none months and 27 days. The funeral took place on Monday the 17th. The sympathies of many friends go out to Mr. and Mrs. Lickel in their bereavement.

(It was noted in the paper that Jake was a successful general store operator, there was a lot of chatter in the papers of those years about J. T. Lickel. )

1885 census of Lincoln Tsp Sioux County lists Jake T. Lickle 34 born PA wife Emily Lickle 30 born WI and children Jessie 4, Mertal M. 0. Living with them was Lenard H. Lickle 24 born WI single.

A family report on ancestry.com (by others) lists Jacob Thomas Lickel born 25 Apr 1850 Duncannon PA d 24 Sep 1918 Los Angels CA. His wife was Emily Tyack 1854 - ?. Children Jessie 1881-1967 and Hazel 1888. No Mention of child who died named Myrtle.
