A Possible son, Referenced in the Alton democrat of March 31, 1900 Rock Valley news, a John Ruiter of Rock Valley died Mar 31, 1900 at 33 yrs kicked by a horse. A brother in WA died previously, Antonie or Hemmo. John came to USA about 1883

Submitter is guessing the mother came to live in the USA with her children after her husband died.

There being no 1890 census and with the possible many spellings of Ruiter the submitter could not readily find more on this family.
