John White, of Pattersonville. died very suddenly last Sunday morning from bleeding of the lungs. lie was sitting up in bed. playing with one of his children, when the blood commenced to pour from his mouth. His wife ran to a neighbor for assistance, and before she could return, he was dead.

A family report found on ancestry.com lists John White born 29 Apr 1833 Mosedale Yorkshire England and died 31 Jan 1885 Pattersonville, Sioux Iowa His parents were Thomas White 1813-1889 and Margaret March 1812-1875. His wife was Margarette Charlotte Leyvourne 1833-15 May 1897 Kewanee, IL. He was the father of four children as listed John 1857-1858, Thomas William White 1859-1931 and Joseph Edward 1863-1964.
