Rommert B. De Jong died on Sunday morning at the home of his son Melie De Jong, at the age of 87 years. Deceased was born at Smallingerland, the Netherlands, and came to this country in 1882. He lived with his family at Grand Rapids, Mich. for a few years and afterwards moved to Orange City. He was married three times, his last wife died four years ago. Funeral services were held at the house at 1 o'clock and at 1:30 p.m. in the Christian Reformed church last Tuesday.

Word was received here that R. De Jong of Orange city, grandfather of Mesdames L. Brunsting and Arend Vander Bok, had died on Sunday and they, in company with Mr. and Mrs. John G. De Vries departed Monday to attend the funeral.
