In the 1900 census of Rock Tsp, Sioux county, wife Jane Van Otterloo 44 born June 1855, widow born Mich. Six daughters listed Alice 22, Minnie 19, Johanna 13, Anna 11, Gertrude 7, Susan 5.

In the 1880 census of Nassau Tsp Sioux county John Van Otterloo age 34 born 1846 Holland was married to Jane Van Otterloo age 25 born abt 1855, they had children John 6, Herman 4, Aaltje 2. Living with them was his wife’s sister in law Anna Wussen age 14.

A family report on line, (done by others) Johannes Van Otterloo born 1849 Apeldoorn, Gelderland, Netherlands married Jane Wassen 1855-1940, on 17 Oct 1873 Holland Michigan. Died 12 Oct 1896 New Holland SD. His wife and children must have moved to Rock Valley shortly after his death.
