LaVada Gale, 103, of Akron, Iowa passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Reverend Bruce Lawler will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. LaVada Gale was born April 2, 1918 in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Anna (Harms) Gale. She attended school in Akron and graduated from Akron High School. She attended college at the University of Northern Iowa. Following college, LaVada worked as a dental assistant in Akron until her retirement.

She enjoyed taking care of her yard and garden.

Survivors include her brother, Arden Gale of Akron, IA; and 3 nephews: Michael Gale of Whiting, IA, Kelly Gale of Irene, SD, and Kevin Gale of Irene, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and his wife, Jack (Betty) Gale; her half sister, Dorothy Gale; and a nephew, Patrick Gale.
