Tuesday morning were hit a hard blow. Mr. Roelof Kooiker, who has only been ill for nine days, was taken from us by death. His life was Christ and, it cannot be otherwise, his death was gain. This is a great loss for our young community. She loses in him a zealous Christian worker. He always looked after the salvation of souls and the honor of his Redeemer. We may well believe and trust that the salvation will come to him too. “Thou hast been faithful over some, I will set thee over much.” The Consistory sympathizes with the deeply grieved widow, who is left with three little children. her needs to all who learn to raise prayer.
