Kraai, H’s son 10 yrs of East Orange

Den 28 December 1876, overleed he zoontje vn H. Kraai, in den oudendom van 10 jaar, te East Orange en werd Zaterdag alhier teaarde besteld. De begrafenis plechingheid werd geleid door den Eerw, Ds. Bolks.
Translated:
On December 28, 1876, the son of Herman (de). Kraai, at the age of 10, died in East Orange and was buried here on Saturday. The funeral ceremony was presided over by the Rev. Bolks.

In the 1880 census of East Orange Township, Herman Kraai was 53 (1827) years a hotel keeper, his wife Hendricka was 49, children Cornelia 15, Henry 10, Walter 7.

Research note: From a report on ancestry.com (by others) Hermanus De Kraai was born 1 Mar 1827 Nijkerk, Gelderland, Netherlands he died 3 Nov 1906 Sioux county IA , his wife was Hendrika Gerdina Dingeman 1830-May 1902 Alton IA, they had children: Cornelia VanderAarde 1857-1936, Johanna De Kraii 1861-1933, Gerret 1866, Evert 1869-1950, Henry De Kraai 1870, and Wouter De Kraai 1873-1873.
