Mr. Braskamp was born at Appeldoorn, Netherlands, on January 28, 1841. All were present at the funeral with the exception of Sam who could not leave his farm in Texas at this time. The following brothers also survive: W. Braskamp, the Netherlands and A. M. Braskamp, Alton.

Those present at the funeral from away were Mrs. Lennon, Mrs. Green, Mr. Sargisson and Henry Ketel, a nephew of Stickney, S.D. The deep sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved ones.
