Elmer Ganzevoort, aged 23 years residing with his brother four miles north west of here, died last week of inflamation. The funeral was preached by Rev. Weiland and was one of the largest ever held in Hospers.

Translated:
E. Ganzevoort, 22 years old, was quite unwell on the 14th of this year, two doctors were summoned, but in vain. He who gives no account of his deeds took him away in the midst of the springtime sights, and from the circle of father, mother, and brethren, who behold his passing, in which we all partake. On the evening of the 20th he breathed his last, and on Monday the 23rd his remains were carried to the grave by a great crowd. The funeral service was continued. Rev. Weiland held.
