Obituary:
It has pleased our Heavenly Father to take away from my side through death my beloved wife, Antje Kuyper, in the our era of more than 64 years. She was the support of my life. But the Lord does not give an account of His deeds, and His doing is always wise and holy. Our loss is great, just as much as my daughter and her old father, who still needed her help so much. But this is our comfort that she went, not sad, but joyful, to the places of salvation, trusting in Jesus, in childbirth, and in our Savior, who came to seek and to restore that which was lost. This gives us courage to pursue the road in the midst of sorrow and distress, and to follow the one that has gone before us, looking to the Lamb of God; and we trust that He will be near to us in life and death.
We also feel a need to express our gratitude to our friends who so willingly and cordially rendered their services to us, and to all who showed their compassion during the brief illness and on the occasion of my beloved wife's commissioned to the earth. Also on behalf of the family, Arie Kuyper Orange City IA 17 Sept 1901.
