Mrs. H. Epme (Ypma) mother of Mrs. Wibe Miersma, died Thursday morning just as we go to press. Mrs. Epma was 85 years old. The Index joins in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Mrs. Kate Ypma, who has been a resident of this bounty for more than 40 years, and who was one of thvery first Hollanders to settle around Hull, died September 21, 1922 at the age of 85 years. 4 months and 15 days. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the home of her daughter Mrs. W. Miersma, of Hull, and at 3:00 o’clock from the Frist Reformed church, Rev. J. H Kregel officiating. She leaves 6 children, of whom four sons live in Oreton and Minnesota, and two daughters in Iowa Mrs. O. De Vries of Carmel, and Mrs. W. Miersma, of Hull. She is also survived by one brother who resides in Indiana. Her first husband was Klaas Pluimer died 22 years ago.
