Frist Ref Church membership record has his son, Peter Pluimer and wife Antonia Van Mill, a son born to them Jacobus Cornelis Pluimer 1 Apr 1893.

Research note: From a family report on line, Klaas Pieters Plumier born 20 Sep 1830 St. jacobiparochie Het Bildt Friesland, died abt 1901 Sioux Center IA. Wife was Trijntje Sakes Hoekstra 1837-1921. Married 11 Sep 1856 Het Bildt. She died 21 Sep 1922 Hull IA. Children were Peter 1859, Maggie 1861, Klara 1868, John 1868, Johannes 1869, Gozen 1871, Garrett 1872, Joseph 1874, Boukje 1876 and A. Pluimer 1879.

Trijntje later married Hendry Ypma 1838-1912 in 1903.
