Hoogdalem, H. (J.) 70 yrs died 1900 Rock Valley Iowa

Translated: Last week 70 jaren old H. Hoogdalem died.
Suspect this H. should be J. (Jan) but some reports indicate he died March of 1902. There are no newspapers of the Rock Valley Bee digitized for 1900-1902. From the marriage of son Henry in 1888 his parents were named.

Son of Jan Van Hoogdalen’s Henry’s family he died much later.

Henry Hoogdalem or Hoogdalens was born July 1854 Neth, came in 1885 married 1888 to Jenny Hoogdalem, children Gertie 10, Gracie 8, Annie 5, and Jennie 3.
Marriage record Hendrikus A. Van Hoogdalen born abt 1857 Holland marriage 8 May 1889 Sioux county IA parents Jan Van Hoogdalen and Gysje Van Sprange, wife Jantje Van’t Hull.

In some of the family report they have him as died 1902, but could find no evidence of that.
