Today, to my deep sadness, my beloved wife Jetschke Hoksbergen, born Herrema, at the age of 25 years and 4 months, died after a happy marriage of 5 years and 7 months, leaving me behind 3 children too young to realize their loss. I hope God will be silent, as his doing is majestic and glorious. Nor need I grieve like those who have no hope. To all who assisted me during the death and funeral, my sincere thanks. Jac. Research note: From a report on ancestry.com (by others) Jetske Pieters Herrema married Jacob Hoksbergen 12 Sep 1895 Orange City IA. Her parents werre Pieter Herrema and Sybrigje Smits. She was the second wife of Jacobus Hoksbergen, she was born 11 Dec 1875 Oosterbierum Friesland, Netherlands and died 1 April 1901 Orange City IA. She was the mother of three children Henry J 1896-1979, Peter 1898-1969 and Jacobus 1900-1959. Jacob had a third wife and ended up in Lynden WA dying 11 may 1935.
