Services for Thomas "Tom" R. Tesch, age 68, of Paullina who passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Orange City Area Health System. His funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown with Rev. Donald Erickson ~ officiating.
The service will be live-streamed on the Eldridge Family Facebook Page at 10:30 A.M. on Monday.
Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Germantown.
Visitation will be after 3 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2021 with family present from 5 - 7 P.M. at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.
Masks are recommended at the visitation and service.

Thomas Ray Tesch, the son of Wallace Edward and Dorothy Ann (Brandt) Tesch was born October 10, 1952, in Primghar, Iowa. He was baptized on November 2, 1952, and later confirmed on March 19, 1967, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa, where he was a lifetime member. He attended school in Gaza, Calumet, and graduated from the Paullina High School with the class of 1970. He furthered his education at NITC in Sheldon, Iowa, and graduated with a welding diploma.
On December 2, 1972, he was united in marriage to Peggy Kruse at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa. For their entire married life the couple lived in Paullina, Iowa. Tom worked at Lundell Manufacturing, Lenz Manufacturing, Tolman Fabrication, Den Hartog, and most recently employed in the assembly division of CIVCO Radiotherapy for nearly 25 years. Tom served as an EMT on the Paullina Ambulance Team, and was a member of the Paullina Fire Department for 25 years.
Tom had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of several Harley chapters. He enjoyed the freedom of riding his Harley down wide-open roads. Tom and Peggy attended the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for 20 years and enjoyed riding in the Black Hills area of South Dakota. His next passion was country dancing. Many dance lessons were taken by him and Peggy so they could scoot around the dance floor with all their dancing buddies. Other interests included movies, concerts, woodworking, puzzles, eating out, and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, the couple enjoyed vacationing with family and friends. Tom took pride in vehicles and his yard work.
Tom passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Orange City Area Health Systems at the age of 68.
Left to cherish his memory are wife, Peggy Tesch of 48 years; mother, Dorothy Tesch of Hartley, Iowa; sister, Tammy (Larry) Rozeboom of Spencer, Iowa; brother-in-law, Terry (Debbie) Kruse of Sutherland, Iowa; sister-in-law, Sherry Durst of Primghar, Iowa; niece, Tiffany (Tracy) Bahrenfuss; nephew, Anthony (Rebecca) Durst; nieces Jillian (Heath) Mews, Cassandra Kruse, Noelle (Evan) Magnussen; great-nephews, Traven and Teagen Bahrenfuss; and great-nieces, Mirabella Mews and Adalynn Durst; along with many other relatives and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Wallace Tesch; father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Mary Kruse; and brother-in-law, Dudley Durst.
