Gestorven Mrs. Meindert Dykstra, oud 72 jaar en 6 maansen, ter oorzake eener langdurige hartkwaal. Zij was eene der eersten die hier kwamen, in 1883. Haar man stierf 9 jaar geleden. Zij was algemeen geacht. Begrafenis van uit de kerk der Ger. gemeente.

Translated: Dead is Mrs. Meindert Dykstra age 72 years and 6 months, because of a long term heart condition. She was one of the first to come here, in 1883. Her husband died 9 years ago. She was generally well regarded. Funeral form the Ref church.

From the marriage record in the Netherlands Meindert Joukes Dijkstra born Engwierum age 28, married Trijnjte Symons Jepma born at Ee, Neth. 24 years. Meindert was the son of Jouke Freerks Dijkstra and Sytske Sjoerds Loonstra and Tryntje was the daughter of Symon Klazes Jepma and Aaltje Jans Mokma. Married 19 May 1853 at Oostdongeradeel, Friesland Netherlands.

From the church record of the First Reformed church of Orange city listed are Meindert Dykstra and wife, they left for Dakota (when?) Her name was Tryntje Synes Japma, children were Simon, Sietske, Jacob, Aaltje and Sjoerd born Apr 20, 1868.
