From a family history on line (by others) Cornelis was the don of Croenlis Willemsen Hulstein 1796-1858 and Geertruij Kobussen 1796-1861 His wife was Geertje Rijke Van Roekel 1833-1911. Cornelis and ‘Rijke’ were married 11 ct 1856 Ede, Gelderland Nethrlands. The children listed were – William 1858, Gerrit 1861, Steven 1864, Johanna 1866 died young and Cornelis 1878.

On the night of Sep 15, 1918, fell asleep in his Lord and Savior after a few weeks of illness our beloved father and grandfather, C. Hulstein, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 16 days. We are thought of the Lord for the many Years in which He spared Father, as being among the "very strong" for us. Since life to him was Christ, we may trust that dying was gain to him, and he has entered into the rest that remains for the people of God. We rest in the hope of a happy reunion. Hereby we express our thanks to all who have shown their help and sympathy during the illness and death of father. On behalf of the Children and Grand children.
