Clarence Halma, 90 of Inwood Iowa died December 28, 2018 at Fellowship Village in Inwood IA. Funeral services were held at Bethlehem Lutheran church of Inwood with burial at Richland Cemetery of Inwood.

Klaas ‘Clarence’ Halma was born October 10, 1928 to Harry and Hilda Miedema Halma at a farm home near Rock Valley Iowa. He was the sixth son in a family of ten. He grew up in the Rock Valley area where he attended School. At the age of 14 he started working for his father and other area farmers. On January 12, 1954 he married Constance Bauder at Peace Lutheran church of rural Sioux Center, Iowa. They made their home in the Inwood area where Clarence farmed and later worked for Kooima MFG.

Grateful for having shared his life are this wife of almost 65 years. Constance; his 5 daughters, Virginia Beynon of Inwood, Iowa; Rachel Folkens of Sioux Falls, SD; Deb Gary Vogelzang of Inwood, IA; Carol Sue Dunham of Rapid City SD; and Shelia Lauren Kaemingk of Sioux Center; 15 Grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; along with his 3 sisters, Freida Veldkamp of Escondido, CA; Albertha Johnson of Spearfish SD; and Rena Don Cannegieter of Rock Valley IA.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Hilda; 6 brothers, George, Charlie, Martin, John, Roger, and Sam; parents in law, Clarence and Alpha Bauder; brother in law, Charles Bauder; and sisters in law, marlene Lester Wilkens and Judith Halma.
