Maandagnacht overleed te Orange City, ten huize van Mr. Oelrich, na een smartelijk lijden, Miss Gertie Dijkstra, dochter van Mr. Hille Dijkstra, en een zustr van Douwe en Jake Dijkstra alhier. Miss Dijkstra was ziek van Council Bluffs gekomen en was ten huize van haar broeder Douwe Dijkstra alhier. Eenige weken geleden ging zij op bezoek naat Orange city, en terwijl daar verergerde haar toestand zoodanig dat zij niet terug kon komen. De begravenisdienst aan het sterfhuis te Orange City heeft plaats te 10 uur hedengorgen en hedennamiddag te 2 ure in de te Refermed church alhier. Onze sympathie is met den ouden vader en broedes and zusters.

Died Monday night in Orange City, at the home of Mr. Oelrich, after a painful suffering, Miss Gertie Dijkstra, daughter of Mr. Hille Dijkstra, and a sister of Douwe and Jake Dijkstra over here. Miss Dijkstra had come ill from Council Bluffs and was here at the home of her brother Douwe Dijkstra. A few weeks ago she went to visit Orange City, and while there her condition worsened so much that she could not return. The funeral service at the death house in Orange City will take place at 10 am this morning and this afternoon at 2 pm in the Reformed church here. Our sympathy is with the old father and brothers and sisters.
