Aldine W. Van Regenmorter was born to Louis and Johanna (Kraayenbrink) Achterhoff on February 1, 1925, on a farm near the “Little Chapel” north of Sioux Center. She was raised and received her education at country school near Rock Valley.

On August 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Bill Van Regenmorter at the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. They raised their family on the Van Regenmorter family farm northwest of Sioux Center. To this union five children were born – Wayne, Janice, Loren, Verlyn, and Darla. In 1986, they move from the farm to retire in Sioux Center. In 2005, they built a new home which Aldine and Bill enjoyed together until Aldine moved to Royal Meadows in the Spring of 2019. Aldine and Bill enjoyed many years wintering in Arizona where they made many great memories. Bible Study, hymn sing and doing crafts were special things she enjoyed. Aldine was a member of First Reformed Church in Sioux Center during her married life.

Aldine was an excellent cook and a great hostess. She had a great love for flowers of all kind. Aldine was a hard worker and caring for her family gave her great joy. Her children and grandchildren always held a very special place in her heart, and she saw them as special gifts from the Lord. They all hold many precious memories of her “mischievous” side. Aldine had a very loving and caring heart. She dedicated 18 years as a Certified Nurse Aid for the Sioux Center Hospital. She loved caring for people. This was evident to all whom she had the privilege of caring for.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 69 years, Bill; and their children and spouses, Wayne (Linda) Van Regenmorter of Parrish, FL, Janice (Lloyd) Dau of Calumet, IA, Loren (Arda) Van Regenmorter, Verlyn (Lea Ann) Van Regenmorter and Darla (Bob) Koopmans all of Sioux Center, IA; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 1 step great-grandchild; sisters, Wilma Brantsen, Bertha and Pete Mol, both of Sioux Center and her nieces and nephews.
