Murdock, Jenette Mrs. Melvin W. born 1855 OH died 1884 she was the mother of five children Carrie A. 1871, William W. 1873, Lavinton 1879 and Lavona 1879. Melvin then married Sarah C. Miller born 1860 in 1889 and they had a least two more children Gertrude 1893, and Bessie 1900.

Died – In Calliope, June 20, 1884 Janette, wife of Melvin W. Murdock, aged 31 years, 10 months and 2 days. Mrs. Murdock was born in Ashtabula Co. Ohio and was married to M. W. Murdock in Rutland WI March 24, 1870. The deceased leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss.
