Research note: From a family report on ancestry.com done by others, Byron D. Van Zandt born 20 Feb 1863 Belvidere Boone IL, died 3 Aug 1950 Rawlins, Wyoming. His wife was Minnie Keniston 1868-1930 and children listed were Merle Winne Van Zandt 1893-1975 and Verna C. Van Zandt 1902. Between 1895 and 1902 they were living in Iowa.
