Martin Vennema, who had been ill for some time, died Saturday night at the age of 46 years. He is survived by the widow and five children as well as by a host of relatives and friends. He suffered form an incurable disease but all that medical skill and living care could do was done for him.
The funeral services were conducted at the Christian Ref. Church Tuesday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Vos, and interment was made at the cemetery west of town. The community joins in sympathy tot eh bereaved family.

Died 25 July 1931 Hospers IA, his parents were Roelf Vennema 1846-1924 and Trijntje Stoit 1849-1922. His wife was Hendreka Harms Van Wijk 1884-1965. His children were Ralph, Roelfke, Herman , Tena and John.
