Vogelaar, W. Mrs (Van Driel) born 18 Jan 1861 died 18 Sep 1920 (WPA)

Her birth record in the Netherlands lists her as Willempje Rietveld born 18 Jan 1861 at Sint Anthoniepolder, Dordrect Zuid Holland, parents were Pieter Rietveld and Hillegonda Van Der Sijs.

Saturday afternoon about 5 o'clock, died after a rather long illness Mrs. Wm. Vogelaar (Willempje Rietveld), In the age of 59 years and 8 months. Born to Amsterdam, Ned., she married Mr. A. Van Drlel at the age of 17, and came to America 3 years later (29 years ago), settling in Orange City. 15 children were born out of this marriage, of which 10 are still alive, Mrs. John De Groot Platte, S. D., Mrs. Henry Hofmeyer, of here; Peter Van Driel, Utica, S. D., Mrs. Wm. Oelrich, of here, Mrs. I. Hoeven, Sioux Center; Mrs. E. M. Kipp, Grand Forks, N. D., Mrs. Ed Kleinhesselink, here, Ed Van Driel, Doon, Cornie Van Driel, Inwood, Mrs. Andrew De Vries, here in 1899 she lost her first husband, and married five years later with Mr. Wm. Vogelaar, who now regrets loss with the children. There is also a sister of the deceased living in the Netherlands. The funeral takes place today Wednesday at half past two at home and at 2 o'clock in the Chr Ger looked, led by Dr. Haar. The remaining spouse and children are assured of our condolences. They find she also hunt roost at Him who can only give comfort!
