Delilah Marie “Dee” De Stigter, age 70, of Carmel, Iowa died Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Delilah Marie De Stigter was born June 6, 1950 to Herman and Lilian Kasters in Rock Rapids, Iowa. She grew up in the Hull, Iowa area and graduated from Boyden-Hull High school.

On November 6, 1970, she was joined in marriage to William L. De Stigter in Hull, Iowa. The couple made there home in the Carmel, Iowa area. Dee owned a beauty shop in her home for 20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center.

In her free time, Dee enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them participate in sports. She liked to fish, watch the NY Mets and Iowa Hawkeyes Basketball. She was happiest when she was busy working in her beauty shop.

She is survived by her loving husband, William De Stigter of Carmel, Iowa; three children, Heath (Steph) De Stigter of Moville, Iowa, Heather De Stigter of Boon, Iowa and Devvon De Stigter of Dell Rapids, SD; 9 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Harris and Bev Kasters and sister-in-law, Ann Kaster. She is also survived by De Stigter in-laws: Glen and Viola De Stigter, Barbara Mantel, Helen De Stigter, Linda Anderson, Nancy Kienapfel, Dave Glewwe and her nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ladell Kaster; in-laws, Jack Mantel, Gerald De Stigter, Lester Anderson, Bruce Kienapfel and June Glewwe.
