Alfred H. (Bob) Witt, 65, of Hawarden died Thursday, Jan. 25 at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 29 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Rev. 0. F. Pittack officiating. Burial services were held at the Grace Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Witt was born on Oct. 23,1907 in Sioux County near Hawarden. He farmed in the Hawarden area until moving to town in 1963. He operated the Witt Service Station since his retirement from the farm. Witt was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Minnie; one son, Duane of Hawarden and one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Marlene) Buryanek of Hawarden; one brother, Walter of Hawarden; and one sister, Mrs. Peter (Etta) Moeller, of Hawarden; and nine grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Raymond Moeller, Vernon Eilts, Virgil Borchers, Donald Witt, Richard Loughran and Charles Borchers.
