Birth record lists Henry Jahn born 1 Dec 1898 Sherman Tsp, Sioux county IA parents Fred Jahn and Annie David.

See the obit of his father Fred Jahn Sr 1858-1939 mentions the loss of three children and wife was Ann David. Also that of Mrs. Fred Jahn 1856-1933. No obit was readily found for this infant.

He was married Jan 1884 in Plymouth county IA to Anna David, dau of Jurgen David and Catherine Peters. They had children - Amelia 1884, William 1885, Louis 1888-1910, Frederick 1889, Lizzy Brown 1892, Anna 1894, Charles 1896, Carl 1896, and Heinrich 1898.
