On Thursday Mrs. F. Van der Kooi, born De Vries in the age of more than 87 years, died. The deceased was born in 1838 in the Netherlands. About a year ago, her second husband, with whom she lived for 50 years in a happy life, preceded her in death. Mrs. Vander Kooi lived in Sioux County for 35 years, and for the last 17 years she lived with her children, Mr. and Mrs. H. De Weerd, where she and her husband lived in a cottage. Four children survive. There are two from her first marriage; G J Bylsma of Lynden WA and G. Bylsma of Grand Rapids MI and two from the last marriage Mr. H. De Weerd and Mr. Vander Kooi, there are also 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The Funeral took place Saturday sweetly a service in the second Chr. Ref. Church led by Ds. H. Heynen of Middleburg.
