Anna W. Vander Wel l Anna W. Vander Well, a daughter of Mr and Mrs. Waiter Vander Well, wa s born on the eighth day of November in the year of 1894 and passed away at her home here at 12:05 p. m. last Thurs day, February 27th. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Reformed church, with Rev Brinkman and Rev. Megchelsen officiating. Interment was made in the Boyden cemetery. Deceased was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. W. Vander Well, being 24 years, 3 months and 19 days of age at the time of her death. For the past eight years she has been suffering from an illness that seemed impossible to cure. She was born and educated in Boyden. She leaves a host of friends, who together with her parents, brothers, sisters, and other relatives, deeply mourn her death. She was a member of the Reformed Church of Boyden, and a young woman of Christian character: patient loving and self-sacrificing. She was a true friend, and her devotion to those she loved would make a bright chapter in any life. Nothing but the thought of the loving hand that has removed her can reconcile her loved ones to her absence. While she has gone from the scenes, the conflicts, the sorrows, and pleasures of life, sh e will still live in the hearts of those who knew her best. The out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral are: Mr. and Mrs. H. De Vries and family; Steve De Vries, of Hospers; Jake De Vries and family of Gaza; Mrs G. De Vries and children of Aurelia, Mr. and Mrs. C. De Vries; D. H. Brinkman of Sheldon; Mr. and Mrs. A. Vanden Brink and children of Hull, an d Steve Vander Well of Camp Dodge, Iowa.
