Mrs. Vander Feen Dies at Age 26 Mrs. Wayne Vander Feen.- 26, of Ireton died last Wednesday, at the Hawarden hospital after an illness of two years. She was a patient at the hospital five weeks. Funeral services were held at 1:30 at the Barnard Funeral home and at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ireton with Rev. Paul Friedrich in charge. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery. Six cousins, Albert Kliehauer, Ronald Bock, Gene Heck, Merlin. Newman, John Vander Feen and Donald Norton, were pall bearers.

Shirley Lucille Carstensen was born March 15, 1934, at Merrill where she spent her early years. She was married to Wayne Vander Feen of Hawarden August 27, 1952. While she was at Merrill she was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran church, was active in church work and served as Sunday school teacher. This past year she transferred her membership to St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ireton.

Besides the widower, she is survived by three children. Sandra. 4, David, 2, and Terri Lynn, 1; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Carstensen of Merrill, and two brothers, Rosco of Sioux City and Lloyd of .Merrill.
