Mrs. Lois Wacome, age 94, of Orange City, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

There will be a private interment on Monday, at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Lois was born on July 5, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Harlan and Hope (Gardner) Snow. During the Second World War, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she met and married Donald M. Wacome, on September 6, 1946. The made their home in Massachusetts, South Carolina, Texas, and Iowa.

She will be remembered for her welcoming smile, kindness, love for her husband, children, and granddaughters, and as a faithful witness to Jesus Christ.

Survivors include a son, Donald Wacome, and his wife, Karen, of Orange City; and two granddaughters, Samantha Dellinger and Megan Meeker.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Wacome, and a daughter, Pamela Meeker.

We are grateful to the Prairie Ridge Care Center for the excellent care they gave her in her final years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
