Bert Beuzekom, 79, of Sioux Center, Iowa died Saturday, May 29 at Marian Health Center in Sioux City.
Born June 6, 1913 near Sheldon, he was the son of John and Hattie (Van Den Heuvel) Beuzekom. Bert attended country school in Sheldon and consolidated school in Archer. He entered the US Army Air Force in 1942 and served for 3 years.
On December 14, 1949, he married Frances Rienstra in Bellflower, California. The couple lived in California for a few years. They returned to Iowa in 1951 to the Archer area where they farmed. They farmed in Platte, South Dakota for 13 years. In 1966 they made their home in Archer and then Sanborn, Iowa, where Bert farmed. Moving to Sioux Center in 1971, he was employed by Mutual Telephone Company for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife Frances of Sioux Center and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Wassenaar, Mrs. Johanna Van Den Hul, and Mrs. Bertha Bolkema; and two brothers, Dick and Harry.
