Cornelius Wassink 70, Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at the home and at 1:30 in the Protestant Reformed church at Hull for Cornelius Wassink, 70, who died Thursday at his home in Hull. Rev. John De Jong officiated, and burial was in the Sioux Center cemetery with Co-op burial association in charge.

He was born March 26, 1881 at Arnhem, Holland and came to the US at the age of 13 years. He was married to Jane Van Maanen March 6, 1907 on a farm north of Sioux Center where they lived for many years. To this union six children were born, of whom four died. Arend died in 1924 at the age of 16, Mina 14 died in 1926, Cornelius at two months in 1928 and Bert ate 14 in 1937.

Survivors include the widow, a son Arend of Sioux Center, a daughter Nellie Mrs. John Brummel of Hull, a brother Arend of Sacanac MI and two sisters, Elsie Mrs. John Broek and Bertha Mrs. Albert Kraayenbrink both of Sioux Center, there are six grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two brothers William of Sioux center and Rev. Albert Wassink of Duvall, WA. Pall bearers were the following nephews: Arend W. Wassink, David J. Broek, Bert Berghorst, Raymond Rends, Tom De John and Bert Van Maanen.
