Judith Louwerse, age 77, of Sioux Center, IA died Monday, May 18, 2020 at Royale Meadows Care Center of Sioux Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, IA with Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiating. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center, Iowa with Rev. Anthony Louwerse officiating.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Public is invited but social distancing guidelines will be followed in the church and sanctuary.

Memorials may be directed to a local Christian School of your choice.

Judith Marie Louwerse was born on July 1, 1942, in Lebanon, Iowa, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Burgers) Louwerse. Judy worked various places throughout her life such as, Otis Radio/Coilcraft in Hawarden, IA, Hope Haven in Rock Valley, IA and early in her life she helped her mother babysit.

Judy loved babies and she always looked forward to helping take care of her nieces and nephews. She also liked to watch the Me TV channel.

Judy is survived by her five siblings, Kenneth (Hermina) Louwerse of Orange City, IA, Rev. Anthony (Esther) Louwerse of Grand Rapids, MI, Marie (Donald) Mulder of Ireton, IA, Jo (Roger) Obbink of Hawarden, IA and Gert (Mike) Van Regenmorter of Rock Valley, IA; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Louwerse; two nephews, Jonathan Craig Louwerse in infancy and Chris Mulder; niece, Rhonda Van Regenmorter in infancy; and great-niece, April Louwerse.
