Dudley D. Kool, 89 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at a local care facility. A private family burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Dudley was born on October 15, 1930 in George, Iowa, son of Tom and Rita (Schneider) Kool. He graduated high school from Orange City in 1948 and attended Northwestern College. He went on to attend Sioux Empire College in Hawarden, earning an associates degree. He joined the 185th Air National Guard, retiring in 1986 after serving for 38 years. He married Marge Schilmoeller in 1955 in Granville, Iowa.

His hobbies included his motorcycles, boats, and “4 o’clock.” He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a member of the Boys of ’68, and a member of the Missouri River Boat Club.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marge; his children: Scott (Celia) Kool, Lisa Lammers, Staci (Royce) Hanson, and Cindi (Tom) Kinne; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry.
