From the Alton Democrat, June 24, 1948:

The daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Recker June 22 at the Sacred Heart Hospital unfortunately lived but a few hours, and the parents have the sympathy of their many friends. The baby was buried at St. Mary’s cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
