DEATH OF MRS. N.N. COONS

Mrs. Nelson N. Coons, a former well known resident of Ireton, died Sunday afternoon at her home in Sioux Falls from pneumonia. It seems almost incredible that the hand of death has so suddenly stricken this estimable lady. She was in Ireton only two weeks ago to attend the last rites if the burial of her father and appeared in the best of health at that time. Upon her return to her home in Sioux Falls she was taken slightly ill but apparently recovered from this in a few days, when she suffered a relapse and a complication of disease set in.

The deceased is survived by her husband and two sons, Francis and Claude.

Alice T. Warfield was born in Illinois July 4, 1868 and came to Ireton with her parents in 1883. She was united in marriage with Nelson N. Coons August 12, 1885. They made their home in Ireton for a number of years, moving from her to Canton and from there to Sioux Falls. Interment will be made today in Woodlawn Cemetery at Sioux Falls.
