TWO YEAR OLD SUFFERS CONVULSIONS, DIES

Colleen Grace, two, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. George De Boer, who reside on a farm two miles west of Sioux Center, died at Hull hospital Friday eve. of cerebral meningitis. The little girl went into convulsions Thursday, was taken to the Hull hospital at once, and passed away Friday about six in the evening. Surviving are her grieving parents and four other children. Funeral services were held Monday from First Ref. Church, Rev. Brunsting officiating. Interment took place in Sioux Center cemetery.

FindaGrave.com gives her parents as George De Boer (1899-1979) and Henrietta Borgman De Boer (1901-1985) and lists two siblings: Theran P. De Boer (1928-1992) and Audrey De Boer Heemstra (1932-1978).

Her death certificate has Colleen Grace De Boer, and adds death data, 6:00 p.m. November 5, 1937; cause, cerebral meningitis due to Whooping Co[ugh], onset 3 days.
