PASSED AWAY EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING IN HOSPITAL AT ROCHESTER

Word was received in Hawarden Wednesday that Mrs. Harry Earl of Hudson had passed away early that morning in a hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, where she had been for more than two weeks receiving treatment. Mrs. Earl had been in failing health for about a year and last summer Mr. Earle took her to Rochester and for about two weeks she received medical treatment. She then returned home and some over two weeks ago she returned to Rochester and had been critically ill so her death was not unexpected. She had received several blood transfusions of late at Rochester.

A. Earl Ross motored to Rochester after the remains Wednesday and Edward Earl of Hudson and Mrs. B.F. McManama of Hawarden accompanied him and came back with Harry Earl, who was one of the blood donors for his wife and due to this was in a weakened and nervous condition.

Magdalena Miller, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rude Miller of Hudson, was 46 years old at the time of her death. Her mother passed away when she was a child and her father died about a year ago.

She was united in marriage with Harry Earl about 15 years ago and to this union were born four children, all of whom survive her. The children, ranging in age from 13 to 4, are Madelyn, Jerry, Lorraine and Helen. She is also survived by two brothers, Henry Miller of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Pete Miller of Aberdeen, South Dakota; two half brothers, Edwin Miller of Hudson and Glenn Miller of Waterloo, Iowa, and her step-mother, who resides at Hudson.

Her untimely death is a severe blow to her husband and children and sincere sympathy is extended to them in their great sorrow.
