Mrs. Bernt Sundvold, 73, of Hudson and former Hawarden resident died Sunday at her home after a lengthy illness. Services were held at 1:30 p.m.- Thursday in the United Methodist Church in Hawarden. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. A prayer service was at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Mrs. Sundvold, the, former Mattie J. Nelson, was born April 17, 1903 in Union County, S.D. She was married to Albert C. Baugus in' 1933. He died June 19,1952. She was married to Mr. Sundvold Sept. 25,1965, in Hawarden. Since their marriage, the couple had resided west of Hudson. Prior to that, she had lived in the Hawarden area.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Curtis of Hawarden and Leonard Eddings of Salt Lake City, Utah; two step-daughters, Mrs' Frank (Linda) Hofer of Canton and Mrs. Jack (Delores) Myhin of Sioux Falls; two step-sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Nona) Olson of Hawarden and Mrs. Ward (Beulah) Costar of Alcester; 5 grandchildren and 4 step-: grandchildren
