From the Alton Democrat, September 24, 1937, Rock Valley news:

Relatives here were advised of the death of Mrs. Emma Studer, widow of Alex Studer. Mrs. Studer met death in an automobile accident near Eagle, Nebr., late Sunday night. Mrs. Studer was a member of the Methodist church here.

From the Sioux County Capital, September 23, 1937:

Rock Valley Woman Killed

Mrs. Emma Studor of Rock Valley was killed in an automobile accident four miles east and one mile north of Eagle, Nebr. last Sunday. She was riding in a car driven by George McFayden of Oakland. Mrs. Studer’s two daughters, one 14 and the other five years, were not seriously injured. The oldest girl was taken to a Nebraska City hospital. McFayden and his wife escaped injury.

The Plattsmouth (Nebraska) Journal, September 23, 1937, has an article about the accident, saying that the George McFadden family of near Avoka was returning home from a visit to Mr. McFaddan’s parents at Eagle when his car collided with another west of Elmwood. Mrs. Emma Studor of Rock Valley, an aunt of Mrs. McFaddan, was instantly killed. Mrs. McFadden and her daughter Dorothy were injured. Another daughter was sitting on Mrs. Studor’s lap and was not injured. Mrs. Studor was a sister of Delbert Munn of Weeping Water, Warren Munn of [N]ehawka, and Edna Wolfe and Ella Greene of Los Angeles. The funeral was held at the Wyoming church with interment there.

Passing of Mrs. Emma Studor

Emma J. Munn was born to Warren and Rachel Munn, pioneers of Otoe county, June 24, 1874. Departed this life Sept. 19, 1937. She received her education in district 4, until the age of 13, she moved with her parents to Florida. There she continued her schooling and grew to womanhood.

In 1909 she returned to Nebraska and July 3rd 1928 was married to Alex Studor of Rock Valley, Iowa, where she lived until his death in May 1937. Since then she had been visiting friends and relatives in Nebraska where she met with her untimely death in an automobile accident. She was a member of the M. E. church and was known to all for her generosity. She took great delight in doing for others.

She is survived by two brothers, Adebert of Weeping Water, Warren of Nehawka; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Green and Mrs. Edna Wolf of California; three nieces and three nephews. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church at Wyoming on Thursday, Sept. 23rd at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. W. A. Taylor of Union.

The Rock Valley Bee for September 24, 1937, is badly fractured and much is missing. No obituary was found in the surviving portion.
