Mr. and Mrs. John Ver Maat attended the graveside services of Mr. Ver Maat’s grandmother, Mrs. Ada Ver Maat at Hull last week Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Ver Maat, a former Orange City resident made her home in Grand Rapidss, Michigan for the past several years.

Mrs. Ver Maat passed away in a hospital, Saturday night, January 8 at Zeeland, Michigan. Funeral services were held at Grand Rapids on Monday afternoon.

Coming to attend the graveside services here Wednesday, were the survivors: the three sons, Edward, William and Floyd Ver Maat, with their wives, all from Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ver Maat stayed at the home of their son, the John Ver Maat family until Thursday evening when the three brothers and their wives returned to Grand Rapids.

Ada (Ykema) VerMaat is the daughter of Floris & Akke (Roelenga) Ykema. She married Peter VerMaat on February 18, 1903 in Alton, Iowa.
