COUNTY SEAT YOUTH DIES IN 15TH YEAR

Mark Richard Verdoorn, 15, son of Dick Verdoorn of Orange City passed away at a local hospital at 10 o’clock Sunday evening. He had suffered with kidney ailment his entire life. He became ill with the flu last week and was taken to the hospital where he died.

Mark was born May 22, 1930. Preceding him in death are his mother who passed away five years ago. His brother William, a lad, died of infantile paralysis in 1934 and a sister, Gertrude Ann died in infancy many years ago.

Surviving are his father and his sister, (Alice) Mrs. Arie Mans of Orange City.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 12:30 at the home and 1:30 in the Reformed Church at Middleburg with Reverend Kolenbrander officiating. Interment was made in the Middleburg Cemetery.
