From the Sioux County Capital, February 18, 1937:

HULL INFANT

Harriet Jane, 1 year and 1 week old daughter of Raymond and Grace Luisink[sic] De Weerd, passed away at her home Wednesday Feb. 10, 1937, at 10:30 a.m. after an illness of many weeks with flu. Her funeral was held at the First Reformed church in Hull at 1 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Douwstra officiating with interment in the Hope cemetery. Besides her parents two brothers two and four years old survive.

An obituary in the Sioux County Index (Hull), February 19, provides no additional information.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has De Weerd, Harriet Jane, b. 3 Feb 1936, d. 11 Feb 1937, Hope Cemetery, Hull IA.

Her death certificate shows her mother as Grace Leusink and adds death data: died in Hull at 10:30 a.m. February 11, 1937; causes: abscess of right lung, onset 1-15-37; pyemia [septicemia caused by pus-forming bacteria released from an abscess], onset 2-1-37; and pneumonia, onset 12-30-36.

Researcher Wilma J. Vande Berg found this information on Ancestry.com: Raymond Charles De Weerd 1907-1992, born to John A. De Weerd and Jennie Zwart. His wife Grace Leusink 1911-1941. They had four children.
